With renewed optimism, small businesses plan to invest more in marketing
Recently, a number of economic indicators such as the employment rate have signaled a strengthening market, boosting businesses' confidence and spurring them to gear up their address verification software to get the most out of new marketing strategies.
According to a recent study from Valpak, 55 percent of small- and medium-size businesses claimed that their companies had already recovered from the recession or expected it to in the next six months.
With a more optimistic outlook comes greater plans for spending and expansion, especially in terms of marketing. While an overwhelming percent of respondents said they plan to increase marketing and advertising activities, 54 percent said they would specifically do this through direct mail and email marketing, and 36 percent plan to increase their offerings of deals and discounts, the survey notes.
"What's particularly interesting is the way our clients are adopting a multi-media approach to marketing their business – combining the best of direct mail, online, deals, mobile and social to create custom, measurable campaigns that fit their business and their target consumer," said Michael Vivio, president of Valpak.
