Small businesses can use direct mail to increase reach
Many small business experts say that those looking to increase their customer base need look no further than one of the most time-tested methods for promotion - direct mail marketing.
In a recent interview with Forbes, Anita Campbell, founder of online community Small Business Trends, said that companies should think long and hard about what type of branding message a company wants to create. She touts the effectiveness of using the right images on printed materials.
"Harnessing the power of images and visuals will make your marketing more powerful and more memorable," she tells the source. "Images - when done deftly – can turn concepts and intangible things into something concrete. That helps people envision your brand and your message in their mind’s eye — and remember you when it comes times to buy."
Businesses may find that taking advantage of emerging technology such as web-to-print will also result in more business. After determining what type of consumers or business client one is trying to attract, it's up to those in the marketing department to roll out the campaign in an effective way.
