QR codes must be implemented appropriately
While many marketing experts have touted the usefulness of quick response codes in recent years, as more and more people purchase smartphones, it is important that they are implemented in the right way.
In a recent article for Digital Nirvana, Heidi Tolliver-Walker writes that prior to adding QR codes to items, marketers should think about what resources will be useful to clients. By giving people more information about products and services, they will become more loyal to a brand, likely translating into more profits.
"While not everyone scanning a QR code is looking for the same thing, marketers - your clients - should take the time to step back from their sales push and ask the questions, 'Why am I putting this code on here? Who will be scanning it? What will they be looking for?'" she writes.
Using QR codes in conjunction with other tools such as address validation software can prove to be one of the best investments a business makes in the long run. Technology is changing everyday and businesses must keep up to stay ahead of competition.
