Nonprofits can benefit from web-to-print
For nonprofits, the difference between being in the black and being in the red can often be as simple as the management of indirect costs. In a new report from the National Council of Nonprofits, several often overlooked indirect costs are outlined, and prominently featured among them is the mass amount of printing required by typical nonprofits.
From IRS forms to general administrative work to creating mailers for fundraising campaigns, printing is an integral part of any successful nonprofit. However, as the council's report explains, indirect costs can tally up into the thousands, and 68 percent of organizations claim they receive inadequate reimbursements from the government. As a result, as many as 82 percent of nonprofits have opted to scale back operations in lieu of simply reorganizing how they manage their indirect costs.
Printing in a nonprofit, or any other organization, likely happens at all levels, from the mailroom to the CEO's office. By adopting web-to-print solutions, organizations can consolidate printing operations, of which there are regularly many, into one system to cut costs while simultaneously increasing efficiency. Survival doesn't have to mean scaling back operations.
