Military mail holiday discounts and deadlines announced
For those hoping to have overseas military mail delivered by the holidays, officials from the Military Postal Service Agency have recently announced the mailing deadline will be Nov. 12.
To coincide with the looming deadline, the U.S. Postal Service, the umbrella agency under which the MPSA operates, has rolled out a new discount, offering patrons sending to all APO/FPO/DPO destinations its largest Priority Mail Flat Rate box for only $14.85, considerably less than its domestic counterpart, which typically costs $16.85.
For a full list of deadlines for express, first class, priority, PAL, SAM and parcel post overseas military mail, please visit the MPSA website.
Sending mail overseas can be exceedingly expensive, but companies hoping to take advantage of the newly announced seasonal discounts for military mail can continue maximizing their savings after the holidays by investing in mailing software. Using mailing software is a smart and effective way to consolidate and streamline postal operations, ensuring that addresses are standardized, validated and barcoded, all while presorting mail to capitalize on every available postal discount.
