Direct mail evolves with changing technology
Using direct mail in conjunction with emerging marketing strategies is one of the top ways for companies to better engage with an audience and increase the number of clients they are able to attract.
Many experts say that one of the best parts about direct mail, which relies on services such as address validation software, is the fact that the printed material has a more permanent feel than something on a screen. With the barrage of marketing that people are exposed to online, getting full attention through a personalized mailing will go a long way.
In an interview with Printing Impressions World, Steve Jaeger, president of QuadDirect, said that the world of traditional marketing was changing rapidly.
"Part of direct mail's staying power is because it's not standing still. We expect that kind of innovation can help offset the negatives of future postal challenges," he told the news source.
Though the United States Postal Service continues to struggle to regain financial stability, a recent report showed that it was outperforming its global competition. The study, conducted by Oxford Strategic Consulting, found that the USPS delivered more mail than any other country.
