Enhancements to PressWise, the end-to-end SaaS-based MIS and Print Automation Software
PressWise is an end-to-end print shop management system designed to help printers grow their business while eliminating touches from their workflow. PressWise evolves to meet the needs of its customers and continually releases updates. The most recent enhancements to the Print MIS and Workflow Automation platform are as follows:
Purchase Orders – having a streamlined way to outsource work is of paramount importance in today’s printing environment – whether it’s a single process (sending something out to laminate), getting materials to complete a project (grommets, stands, etc.), or having the entire product produced outside your plant. PressWise has integrated the Purchasing process into the production workflow to allow outsourcing at any of these levels.
Full Service Mailing – PressWise now offers fully integrated Full Service Mailing software, including a convenient folder that contains all required mail.dat files to make uploading to PostalOne! more efficient. This is part of a wider overhaul of the Mailing Module in PressWise that includes multiple UI enhancements to make the whole process of managing Direct Mail campaigns as efficient as possible.
Advanced Impositions – in addition to Work and Turn support, PressWise now supports Work and Tumble impositions with clear images to let your estimator know exactly where the system is placing the gripped edge, the axis of rotation, as well as the position of any optional Dutch positions.
Signature Capture for Delivery – PressWise now gives you the ability to digitally capture proof of delivery signatures on delivery orders, including the option to view a map of the delivery address in the process. The ‘signed’ packing slip can be automatically attached and emailed to the customer along with the invoice, eliminating not only clicks, but also time spent scanning or making a copy of the packing slip, and sending it to the customer.
Shipping Carrier Options – PressWise has always offered integrated shipping through the more common parcel carriers (UPS, FedEx, and the USPS) – however, for those with needs beyond these three, PressWise now allows the user to enter any number of Shipping Carriers, each with their own collection of Shipping Methods, tracking URLs, etc.
Single Sign-On – the SAML 2.0 protocol is now offered as an add-on service so you can use your existing authentication server on your network to control access to PressWise, both for storefront users (e.g. for In-Plants) as well as back-end users.
